Security |
Integrated multi-level security for Administrative users gives managers control over which people can access each function.
Pages may be manually suppressed, so that the Page can continue to be built until it is finished and then allowed to be viewed by visitors.
Each Page and each Element within a Page has a Security Level assigned to it. The default Security Level is "Public", which allows all visitors to view those Pages.
Where Security Levels are greater than "Public", visitors must Login to the Site to gain access to Pages with their level of Security.
Each Page and Element also has optional date ranges (Start Date and Finish Date). If this option is selected, the Page (or Element) will only be displayed if the current date is within the Date Range.
This is helpful for example where an Event (such as an Open Day) has passed and it is no longer sensible to display that page. This avoids the necessity for staff to remember to delete or suppress the page.
